Risk Has Always Been There

Heroic epics have been fraught with risk—Columbus's first journey, Lincoln's decision to consider the United States indivisible, building the Panama Canal, Lindbergh's trans-Atlantic flight. Were those risks managed? No. We say, "Those heroes took risks."
